Executive Director
Moose Mountains Regional Greenways
The Executive Director will provide the following services:
Fundraising:
? Research and contact prospective major donors, including foundations and individuals.
? Develop and maintain major donor database.
? Assist Director of Land Conservation in identifying and evaluating other fundraising opportunities, including grants and foundations.
? With Board and Director of Land Conservation, develop grant applications and administer grants received.
Membership:
? Develop and implement strategies for business and individual membership.
? Track member expiration and renewals.
? Coordinate membership appeals.
Outreach/Education:
? Work with the Board of Directors to develop and administer annual plan.
? Oversee organization of events, including workshops, annual meeting, Branch River Paddle, annual festival and site walks.
? Engage in outreach activities that create positive exposure for MMRG, including:
• Supervise update/maintenance of MMRG website: www.MMRG.info
• Maintain relations with media and encourage coverage of pertinent activities and events
• Develop & distribute press releases on MMRG successes and events (average 1 PR per month)
• With Board and/or volunteers, publish newsletters with articles written by staff, Board and others (2 per year)
Organizational:
? Coordinate the activities of the Director of Land Conservation and Education Coordinator.
? Working with the Board of Directors, conduct an annual review of the Strategic Plan and direction of the organization.
? Prepare materials and agenda for BOD meetings.
? Attend BOD meetings and report on projects and workplan.
Volunteer Development:
? Enhance opportunities for volunteer participation.
? Build relations with MMRG volunteers
? Coordinate volunteer activities as needed
Project-based Activity:
• Work with Director of Land Conservation and Land Acquisition Committee (LAC) to develop project priorities.
• Work with Director of Land Conservation to develop strategies and materials to reach out to selected landowners.
• Work with MMRG member towns to assist and coordinate land conservation activities.
• Work with the Director of Land Conservation and LAC to further develop project based guidelines.
• Assist Director of Land Conservation in preparing special appeals for projects as needed.
Part-time position of 20 hours per week. A bachelor or equivalent degree in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience is desirable. The position will require strong computer, organizational and communication skills, and reliable personal transportation. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently. Compensation from $20/hour on a contract basis.
